German description: In dieser Publikation werden erstmals 80 Rezepte
aus 24 Handschriften in 11 Bibliotheken herausgegeben, die die
Zubereitung von Schwarztinten, Farbtinten und Grundierungen fur die
Miniaturenmalerei aus byzantinischer Zeit (bis 15. Jh.) behandeln. Im
ersten Teil sind die Texte (nach der literarischen Methode) ediert,
ubersetzt und mit philologischen und sachlichen Anmerkungen versehen.
Im zweiten Teil gibt ein technologischer Kommentar Einblicke in die
Rekonstruktion und Analyse der Rezepte, behandelt dann in einem
alphabetischen Glossar die in den Rezepten erwahnten Begriffe,
Produkte und Anwendungsmethoden und zeigt Ergebnisse
physikalisch-naturwissenschaftlicher Untersuchungen von Tinten in
Originalhandschriften und vergleicht sie mit schriftlich
uberliefertem Material. Ein Glossar der griechischen Termini, ein
allgemeiner Index und 12 teilweise farbige Tafeln schliessen den Band
ab, der ein Handbuch zur realienkundlichen Erschliessung griechischer
Handschriften und zur mittelalterlichen Buchkultur darstellt.
